Bad News--Need Some Good Thoughts

It feels odd posting this here, but I've been posting all my problems here the last six months, and you ladies have helped so much.

Last night, my Mom called and said she was at my sister's house. Which seemed strange, she and my father live in Florida, and I thought they were heading home after my wedding. Anyway, I called her back, and it turns out she almost definitely has kidney cancer. She and my father and sister have known for almost a few weeks now, but kept it from me so the news wouldn't spoil my big day.

Her doctor wants to run an MRI of her liver which will take place tomorrow, and then they meet next week to talk about their next steps. Most likely, it will be surgery. I'm trying to stay upbeat and hope it's just one small tumor, and she'll be fine after surgery.

I don't usually ask for prayers or good wishes, but I am asking for her sake today. Thank you!

..... Even if it is difficult, keep thinking positive things until (and after) you know all of the details. I'm so sorry that you have to go through this right now
