How much time off from work?

I was thinking about it this morning... I'm probably going to want to take the week off before, and then two weeks after, but three weeks seems like such a long time!

How much time did you guys take off?

I am getting married on a Sunday, so I am only taking the Friday before off and the week after, and that next Monday. Thats all for me. I can take as much as three weeks, but we arent really going to need that much time.

I am getting married over Spring Break (I'm a teacher). Hopefully I can take the Friday before also, but they look down on that.

I'm getting married on a Saturday. I'm taking Thursday and Friday before and 2 weeks after.

I am getting married Friday the 31st of March...I will be taking the day before & 2 weeks after. I will not return to work til APril 17th!

Im planning to take 2 weeks off...Im getting married on Friday, September 1st, so I will take that Wednesday Aug. 30th off, the whole next week, and since September 4th is Labor Day, I get to take additional 3 days off instead is 2 the following week, coming back to work Thursday, September 14th.

Since we don't live in NY, we took the week before the wedding off, then the followign week and a half for HM....turned out to be we were gone 20 days, but only 11 work days (with weekends, and fourth of July, etc...)

Our wedding day precedes President's Week - February school recess - so I will by default be off the week after the wedding and I am also taking the week after that. I will take off 2 days before the wedding for a total of only 7 missed days from work. I teach summer school and my summer school salary is helping to pay for the wedding so thats why I am no getting married in the summer like many teachers do.

Last day of work is the Tuesday before the wedding (Sunday)--but my days off that week are Thursday and Frid (so it's only 2 days pre-wedding that I'm actually taking off), then the next 4 weeks for our honeymoon.

My boss gave me so much c r a p!!! She had me working till the last second!
I was allowed only Friday before my Sat. wedding and then 2 weeks for honeymoon.

Oh well. It worked out though!!
