How far in advance should I send out invitations? & when should the RSVP date be?

How far in advance should I send out invitations for my wedding which is 11-25-05?

It is the day after Thanksgiving.

I sent Save the Dates.

Thanks for your input!!!!!!

Edited to add: When should the RSVP date be if my wedding is November 25??? On my invite proof I put October 25 but is that too late????

Thanks for your advice!!

Re: How far in advance should I send out invitations?

My wedding is 8/28 and we sent ours out on 6/14 with an RSVP date of 7/28, so if I were you I would send the invites out between 9/14-9/25 with an RSVP of about 10/25.
I would send them out slightly earlier if you have an A and a B list.

Depending when you would want the RSVP's back I would send them out the last week of August.

I'm getting married 10/21 and want RSVP's back by Sept.7. We just sent ours out a week ago today.

Re: How far in advance should I send out invitations? & when should the RSVP date be?

Before you set the date for RSVP requests, is there any reason you would need them back before a certain time? For example, do you need a head count for favors or for the cake. I asked for RSVP's by September 7th for my October 21st wedding. But this is because I am going to order the favors based on the replies and I am ordering single roses for each place setting.

Do you have an A and a B list or just an A list with one RSVP date? If the latter is the case then 10/25 is fine.
