Question to girls that are already married....

For those of you that were living with your now-husbands BEFORE you got married...... did it feel different once you were married? FH and I have been living together since May of 2002 and I'm wondering if things will feel different when we are married.

It doesn't really feel different.

I'm kinda stalled on the name-change process right now, though. I think once that's done, it will start to change.

Nothing feels different at all. I feel as if we have been married alot longer than we have because we lived together.

Re: Question to girls that are already married....

It feels completely different for us. We immediately fell deeper in love (if that's possible), had a deeper connection, love knowing that we're family now and have a forever bond, think twice before arguing because we know we eventually have to make up and be together forever...so we try a lot harder to be loving, respectful, caring...when we were dating, engaged, living together, etc. we were not fully aware and didn't care since it wasn't 'for all the days of our lives'.
Hope I made sense. In short, it's a million times better and the love is a billion times better and this is coming from a couple who lived together for 4 years.

Re: Question to girls that are already married....

Everyone told me it would feel different, but in all honesty it doesn't. Our lives are the same and we go about it in the same way.

I guess, if I really think about its different mentally. Where before I was always second guessing what he does, and how I feel about what he does now I accept him completely and have no doubt. I have 'commited' to this relationship and no longer contemplate leaving everytime we fight.

Re: Question to girls that are already married....

For us, our bond is just that much stronger, but we've 'felt married' for a long time (been together 8 years, living together over 5).

There's just a nice comfortable awesome feeling of finally doing it and being husband and wife. But there's no big drastic change or anything.

We're lovin' it!
