Advice needed-I ordered my dress from davids bridal

I ordered my dress from davids bridal on 7/20, the sales woman Becca was awesome. I tried on 14 dresses and couldnt make up my mind...she brought in this one dress and it was "the one". Anyway...I'm sure some of you are aware that when you order a dress from davids, you have to take the dress home when it comes in, they wont store it for you. On my receipt, it says appox delivery date 10/12/05. (My wedding is 6/06) Well I got a call tonight and MY DRESS IS IN and I have to pick it up with in 5 days! What am I going to do with this dress for 7 months?? I have NO closet space! I called davids and asked what would happen if I didn't pick it up, they said I would be shipped back to the warehouse. I then asked what would happen after that, would I have to "buy" a new dress. Of course the woman on the phone had no idea. Has this happened to anyone else? What should I do? Sorry this is so long!!

Can you ask your mom or a friend to store it? It just needs to be hung up with a white sheet over the plastic bag. Good luck!!

ohh I wish I could help. I heard that about David's bridal.

My sister went to a great bridal shop she was fitted in her dress like every few months to make sure the dress didn't need alterations. They were great! I am going to use the same place as she did.

Yeah. This happened to me too. It at my FMIL house. I'm so scared that its going to turn yellow being stored for a year!!!! Question: When you got your dress was it all wrinkled? Mines was

Im in the same situation....listen..if you have it wrapped up in a white sheet, with the garment bag around it.....it will be fine....check it every so often.
Think of it this way.....if your dress came in...and they told you that THEY would hold it...WHERE do you think they would put it?? SHOVED in some back room somewhere...where it can get damaged or something you have no control over! I have my dress from Davids as well....but just think...we wont be the brides waiting for the manufatuer in some other state to finish our dresses!! Hope this helps!!!!!
