Re: Where can I donate books?
Half.com is def. a good option if you want to make $, but sometimes it takes forever to sell. Most university libraries will take them for a tax write-off.

Re: Where can I donate books?
Thanks. I would do something online but I have ZERO time to set something up. I was hoping to drop stuff off and be gone with it.

Well I don't know how great MY mind is but I do consider throwing books away to be a sin. It is the educator in me. I was reading fluently at 3 years old and if contributing books either helps a person to learn, increases their vocabulary or enhances their creativity, I am all for it.

Re: Where can I donate books?
I usually donate them to the public library. Some take them and some don't, but I live near a branch that takes everything and sells them throughout the year. The branch I used the most only took them at certain times, when they were having their semi-annual sale.I also drop them off at thrift stores, who will sell them and the money goes to a good cause.

See thats where you are wrong. I want to read some of them, and give some of them away to my friends 92 year old grand mother and then she gives them to her senior center.....See thats the difference.

That's different then!

A senior center is a good idea. I don't know about schools. A lot of schools won't accept books

They certainly would not accept the books I have unless Jackie Collins is in the curriculum
