Has anyone ever been to a Disney Wedding, or know someone who has had one?

I'm getting so sick of planning and high minimums and this and that. I'm seriously considering keeping my date but flying down to WDW with only the closest people for it. What do you think?

I wish I would have done that...I suggested that last yr...and FH didnt want to give up the big wedding...and neither did my parents

I just looked it up. It would be under $25K for 30 people, ceremony and lunch reception at the grand floridian, full photo, full video, floral, ceremony music, cinderela coach anc bus for guests, DJ at reception, mickey and minnie come to the reception and a prvate fireworks show

my friends got married there 2 years ago at the wilderness lodge, I did not attend, but they said it was very affordable and fun.

We were originally planning a wedding in Disney. However, it was for 100 people to attend. It got so complicated for this size wedding, that we decided to have it here in NY. Also, the wedding we planned on giving, dinner, dancing, and reception was priced pretty high. But if I were to plan a small wedding, then Disney would be the way to go. If you go to their website, there is an option for an intimate wedding. It basically prices out the whole wedding for 8 people factored in. Otherwise, you would probably fall into the category of a personalized wedding. The only disadvantage of having it in Disney is that you MUST use their vendors for flowers, photography, and videography.

I was a BM for a wedding there. The couple lives in Boston, has family in FL, the Northeast, and the Midwest, so a lot of people made a vacation out of it. FH and I took some extra time and went to the parks - it was so much fun! And a lot of people came - I think they had around 200. Couldn't tell you about the cost, but I can find out.

I think it sounds like a great idea!!! I had looked into it briefly as well but I felt like $20-$25 k for 20-30 people was just too much.

For 30k I was able to have a wedding here with 150 people.

But I think its sooooooo cute and different and romantic!! Esp. since you got engaged there!

I agree. We were seriously considering it too. Call them, they will send you a video! We really wanted to do this, but it just didn't work out for us.

I just spoke with someone who's daughter was married there. The wedding was at the wedding pavilion (Grand Floridian Hotel) and she had her cocktail hour in Epcot in the part where all of the different worlds are. They had fireworks and a parade came thru. And they had Mickey and Minny. She said it was amazing.
