How do you make those ribbon hats? They are so adorable. Clearly the quintessential bridal shower attire!

you just nominate someone to do it with some tape and a stapler...they always come out soooo beautiful

It depends...I have seen it done that the ribbons are taped/stapled onto a paper plate (not sturdy)
Another way is taped/stapled onto a hat (baseball, straw, etc...cheap though, b/c you'd be taping/stapling to it)

Yea you can make them out of paper plates....chances are someone at your shower will know how to do it. Seems to be my honorary job at showers LOL

I've made many a ribbon hat!! Most times we started with a paper plate and just taped or stapled the ribbons from the presents to it.

Oh it was so fun and I am usually not into those sorts of things. One of my BM's just tied the ribbons together and I held it up for the pic

As a former art teacher, I cannot tell you how many times I was recruited to make hats at showers. I have yet to meet a bride who enjoys wearing them.

You get a straw hat at the craft store and a hot glue gun. For my sister, instead of a hat, we made a bouquet. You turn the straw hat upside down and put the bows on the inside and around the brim filling it up, then you lue ribbons to the bottom and it becomes abeautiful bouquet for her to use at the rehearsal!It saves the humiliation of the hat!

Everyone in my family has refused to wear the 'hat of shame' and yet they were all forced to wear it because they 'just had to do it because everyone else does'.I know my family will want me to wear one, but at the age of 31, if someone forces me to put a decorated paper plate on my head, someone is getting hurt!!!

OMG,,,,my hat was HUGE and they even put a veil on it!!!!!!!I still have it and I have no clue what I am going to do with it!!!!!!
