February vacation ideas?
We would like to go on a vacation during February break (I'm a teacher) and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to a place to go. I am concerned with the weather. I really want to go to Disney, but there are going to be alot of kids there, and that's who I'll need a break from

Re: February vacation ideas?
Are you thinking of warm weather or something more like skiing/snowmobiling? If its the latter, maybe Vermont or the Poconos? Or try a couples only resort...my brother had his honeymoon over Feb. break, and even though they went on a cruise, they said there were kids everywhere.

Re: February vacation ideas?
I tend to go south for vacations in the winter. I love the caribbean, but if that's too much $$ go for Mexico.

Cancun or Riviera Maya in MexicoWe've been to royal hideaway
and
Fiesta Americana Condesa
RH was fabulous!! FAC was very nice and fun and much less expensive - perfect for a nice, cheap vaca!
The other FAC link didn't work - trying again...

Re: February vacation ideas?
I'll definitely look into these ideas, Mexico seems to be a good spot this timeof year. I'd love to go to an all inclusive in Jamaica, but they seem to be pretty pricey. Thanks!

I am a teacher also, and I'll be in Mexico for February break- at an adults only (no kids!) all-inclusive. Try to book early, because the prices go up the longer you wait.

Re: February vacation ideas?
We went to Disney in February and I have to say there were just as many kids there as adults. But, I know it was better going then then during summer-we were able to do everything that we wanted to and more.I actually got into a fight with a grandpa b/c he was 6 foot tall and stood in front of me during one of the parades. I had never been to disney so I freaked out on him...it was pretty awful but it felt really good to be a 24 year old throwing a tantrum like a kid-ahh to be young again

I am a teacher, as well, and I said to hell with it and booked a trip to Disney despite all the kids! I figured I can just laugh at all the parents with their bratty kids while we have a great time solo

Re: February vacation ideas?
I just wanted to say thanks so much for all the feedback and ideas, I did tons of research, Mexico, Carribean, Jamaica. SO much of it sounded great, lots of it was more $ then we wanted to spend. Well, after all that we decided to go with our first idea (I've been waiting years to go back) and are going to .....Disney! I agree with the others that have went at this time and there's always going to be kids there. We got a great quote and are staying at a moderate hotel in Disney. themagicforless.com is a great website with good prices. That's another great tip I got from this website! Thanks again, I'm so excited!
