CUTEST idea at a baby shower today!!!

The mom to be started oulling out an outfit from a bag and it was attached to another outfit and then another... It was a long clothes line with little outfits held on with clothes pins. We held it up and it went across the room and was so terribly cute!

Their centerpieces were all a stuffed animal for the baby having to do with the safari theme.

ETA: baby not bridal. No more bridal! No more bridal!

I got the clothesline as a gift too. It was great - so many clothes in all different sizes.

The clothesline is VERY popular and well-loved, its adorable and GREAT, my friend used a laundry basket to bring it in and they hung it across the room. They also put pages, one page with each letter of my last name and spelled out lets say BABY SMITH, throughout the clothesline, so in between the clothes were pages with a letter spelling this out.

but as far as stuffed animals me and any mommy I know would make this face at having more than 1 or 2 stuffed animals. The 'junk' (please dont take that the wrong way, but you'll understand when your kid has 3,000 different toys or stuffed animals) but YIKES at having more than 5-6 stuffed animals to sit around the baby's room and collect dust

Not taken the wrong way at all. I have a munchkin of my own who just turned 4 on Friday.

I just figured it was better than the flower centerpieces that die. I do think they could write a note on the invite saying no stuffed animals....

Or how about no baby bathrobes. I mean come on they are cute but USELESS. She must have got 3 teeny robes!

so true about the bathrobes!! so cute, but not very useful for long, their legs stick out by the 3rd week

and as toddlers, I search HIGH AND LOW for BATHROBES and cant find em, and when I do find em their $30-$40 !
all I find for under $25 is fleece robes, and what child under age 3 will want to wear a fleece robe ???? (thanks grandma, do you have the receipt? I said BATH robe )

My favorite idea, which I found out AFTER I had my shower, was the book-wishing well, or whatever its called. A kid can never have too many books

I like the book wishing well! That is a great idea. I think she got ONE book yesterday.

Also, one of the best gifts she got was a gift from the mother of the father (LOL)

It was his baby book complete with pictures, lock of hair, report card etc...

what a great idea!!! My sister is throwing a baby shower for her SIL in the fall - I'll pass this idea onto her !

They did that for me at my shower too! the clothes were on a clothes line in a laundry basket. I LOVED that idea!

I made the clothes line for my SIL when she was pregnant with my nephew, the end of the clothes line was attached to a big bottle of dreft

I went to a baby shower this weekend and someone gave the mommy 7 gift card to area takeout places. I thought that was the greatest idea since the first week home who would want to cook.
