OMG! THE DIAMOND FELL OUT OF MY RING!!
Thank the good Lord that my FI found it. We're going to have it re-set, but my hand feels completely naked!! Those were the scaries 10 minutes of my life!!!!

We were at my cousin's wedding (which was AWESOME by the way) - and we got in the car and started driving away when I looked down atmy finger and GASPED!! FI turned around so fast I think I have whiplash. We ran in, where they were setting up for another wedding. FI walked onto the dance floor and there it was. He said it "winked" at him. I couldn't believe it! Can you imagine if we were farther away when I checked it?

I am so happy that he found it...wow, imagine it had been swept away? 
Ladies, please, please take this advice:
Take your ring (and wedding band if it has diamonds or stones) to a reputable, knowledgeable jeweler at least 2X a year (every 6 months)...at the very least once a year. EVERY ring no matter where purchased or how expensive needs to be checked for wear to the shank (especially if sized), prongs and stone security. A jeweler will be able to tighten stones (if necessary), clean your ring and remove debris that may cause the stone to loosen over time as well as determine if there is porosity or cracks on the shank.
Don't wait until it's too late!

Great advice! I have been doing that since once when I went in to have my e-ring cleaned, they came out to show me how loose the diamond was, they tapped it and it fell out...now I go back every 6 months for my diamond's "check up"

One of my diamonds from my wedding band fell out on the altar right after we exchanged rings. He found it too on the floor, and I walked back down the aisle with the tiny diamond in my hand.

That happened to me, too. I was cleaning and knocked it against something and one of the side diamonds fell out. I hated not having my ring on my finger while it got fixed. At least you got it taken care of.

that happened to me too and i found it. i have a princess, i heard that princess cut in 4 vprongs are mostly likely to come loose, but i dont know if that is really true

While it would suck if I lost my stone, my ring is insured. You might all want to look into it, "just in case". It isn't expensive.

That is so scary.
My friend told me that her stone came loose when her ring was sized. It changed the prong positioning a little bit. Her jeweler reset the stones before it was too late.
