BM Review of Watermill, Commack Wedding Center, etc

Hi all,

OK finally the three weddings of the summer are done! I was a BM in my friends wedding 8/13. Here is my review. Hope it helps.
TO START OFF, THIS COUPLE WAS ON AN EXTREMELY TIGHT BUDGET!!

Reheasal Dinner
Precious Buffet in East Northport
A+++++
Great Food, Fast and nice.

Church
St. Francis in East Northport
C---
NO A/C for Rehearsal!! We were all dying.
The lady who was running the rehearsal acted high, no joke.
For the wedding, it all went perfect, thats why they at least get a C--, score went down because of the rehearsal

They bought a package deal from the Commack Wedding Center. All I can say is you get what you pay for. Most of the vendors were below par in my opition, except flowers.

Limo
F----
NO A/C, it was 98degrees! Very rude, and the champagne was open and half gone, EWW!

Flowers
A
Beautiful, but they were supposed to bring the FG petals to the house, instead they brought them to the church, so we ended up going to a local florist so the photographer would have them

Photographer
B
Extremely boring shots! All posed, no photojournalism, only took 2 shots with the BP. Photograher was soooo nice though. Great with kids.

Videographer
A-
Honestly, he seems nice but the camera was so small, I've never seen such a small video camera for a professional

DJ
C---
First, they were all in our business, since the room at the Watermill had such a small dancefloor (only 80pp) she was trying a congo line, so almost feel. PS, not offense, but a Female DJ comes across more annoying. Messed up their first dance!

BM dresses
C--- (Alfred Angelo)
Great price, horrible alterations, thank god all I needed was a hem!

Bridal Gown
B---
Again, great price, but the bustle broke on the way to the Watermill, it was down all day. What a hassle

Watermill
B--
Honestly, I work here, but it wasn't a good wedding at all. A lot of it is based on the room, food, and package they choose. There was only 4 stero items at the CH, and they were all seafood. Then , they were in the back in the octogoen room, not the astor or vanderbilt, I drawing a blank, but they was a support wall in the way of the entrance, so we couldn't go arm and arm with our dates. They food was bland, and only a choice of three, but they picked that package. Good for pictures

Re: BM Review of Watermill, Commack Wedding Center, etc

Thanks for the review. My FI was trying to talk me into the CWC for pictures/flowers/ect but I told him it didn't feel right to me. JMO but I was worried I would be concerned about it all day instead of enjoying myself!

Hi Lisa,

What kind of menu do you have?
Do you upgrade any of them?

Re: BM Review of Watermill, Commack Wedding Center, etc

We had Prestige. It was awesome...but we made several additions:

Martini Bar
Seafood Boat
Pasta after salad at reception. (or maybe it was before salad....i'm a bad italian.) We were in the Astor room and it was great!!!
