Eye Make up Help (Repost from BHB)

What are some recommendations for make up on the eyes? I am getting married at night next July - but the sun does not set until after 8pm. So want something that stands out but not too drastic (don't want to look like a drag queen).

I want more than 'natural' on my eyes but less than 'very smokey'. I was in a wedding in CT and I got what she called 'day smokey' which I liked. Do you think smokey eyes are too much for a wedding? My main concern is that my face make up / foundation does not looked caked on. I hate that look! I am usually very tan in the summer so I probably won't need much face make up. I do want my hazel eyes to stand out.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Any pics of past brides who had the smokey eye look or even more of the pink/natural eye look.

I think smokey is ok, but just on the lid, not all the way up to the eyebrow.
I plan on doing a beige color that has a hint of shimmer in it, with a bit of grey on the lid.
