Warning for 06 bride thinking of sending Save the Dates!

So I sent out STD's almost a year ago because I thought they were so cute and a really great idea. Well now a year later a week after invites went out I have gotten 60 yes's and not one no! I was hoping for that 20% decline rate. So for anyone wanting some no's don't send STD's! Also another problem I ran into was I sent a save the date to a friend I no longer talk to. But now since she has the magnet and knows the date I had to invite her and a guest. Just wanted to give you ladies a heads up

Thanks! I am sending mine out this week. I am not doing that many cause I have so many sets of diffent people I am mailing to a select and close few...I need some no's when I am done with the final guest count

I was more concerned for people with kids and people who are teachers because my wedding is the wekend that starts President's Week - a heavily traveled week for families and teachers. It is a winter wedding and I know that many out of town guests won't come - espcially the snowbirds down in Florida!

I actually didn't send any for fear of sending it to someone I wouldn't want to invite later. You just never know....

Sure - kept them simple and red of course! I love red! I designed them in photoshop and printed at vistaprint.com

Thanks for the tip... we are only sending to fam and friends we KNOW we are close with. No co-workers, parents' friends, etc... but we do need to send them b/c a lot of FH's fam is in FL and most of my friends and mom's fam is upstate NY.
