Douglaston Manor Maitre D tip?

When we signed we were told the maitre D 'fee' was $3pp....is that another way of saying 'tip'. They can't really expect $3pp and then a tip too, can they?

unfortunately, they do. The $3 per gets distributed through the whole staff by the Maitre'D. The tip to the Maitre'D is for his/her good service.

Jesus!!! Some of the other places I saw included the Maitre D fee in the overall cost...so the tip was obviously extra.

I'm not made of money!!

Thank you....I dont feel so stupid anymore...just a lot more worried about other 'tip and things' I am not realizing about.

No Problem. Each hall handles the Maitre'D fee differently.

Tips not included in Maitre'D fee...

Maitre'D
Captain (if you can even tell who it is)
Bridal attendant
Coat Check attendant
Bartender
Valet Parking attendants

hmmm, that's all I can think of for now...
