Ladies, I need your help..I have to plan prom this year and need a location in the Bronx or Queens (M)

This is the first graduating class and I got stuck planning it! I am not familiar with places in Queens or the Bronx. HELP!!!! It would be for about 180 people. Thanks for all of your help.

Terrace on the Park in Queens. My prom was there and it was really beautiful.

My prom was at Russo's on the Bay in Howard Beach.

Check out Wedding Sites and Services.com. It provides pricing info and capacity information when you search by county (both Bronx and Queens are there).

My mom does the prom every year and they had it Marina Del Ray in the Bronx but her favorite was this year- they had it on a boat ride around Manhattan. They searched each kid(the company) before boarding due to 9-11 rules so no funny business could even happen. She said the food was amazing. Let me know if you want the info.

All of the above are excellent ideas

Terrence on the Park is beautiful in Queens, as is Marina Del Ray in the Bronx.

Russo's on the Bay is really nice, although it might be expensive for a Prom.

You might want to look into Cafe on The Green in Whitestone or Reception House on Northern Blvd in Flushing.

Villa barone in the Bronx is also good I heard.

marina del ray is classy and afforable

my college was around the block from it and i attended a fraternity formal there. the food was outstanding

My senior ball in college was there and it was great!

The boat idea is a good one too. I used to work in HS and if the kids don't have anything when they get on the boat (alcohol, drugs, etc.) they don't have access to it during the dance. It makes it MUCH easier to chaperone.

And how is this the 1st graduating class?

my HS was in the bronx and they usually did it at marina del rey but my year did glen island casino which is new rochelle and not far fr the bronx

Try Villa Barone, it's right over the Throgs Neck bridge......or is it the Whitestone? Either way, it's in the Bronx.

Try Maestro Caterers in the Bronx, they may be more reasonably priced.

Thank you for all of your wonderful ideas!

The school is a smaller school within a much larger high school, so it will graduate its first class this June. The school is located in Manhattan so I thought Queens or the Bronx would be easier to get to, then LI.

The last school I taught at held their prom at Leonards and there were many LIE issues being that many of the girls were coming from Upper Manhattan and the Bronx.

its the throggs neck and its very easy to get to (right off the highway)
