First florist tomorrow...

Mom and I are going to our first florist tomorrow. We have one tomorrow, one Friday and one next week. This is the one area that could possibly get the best of me. I am not looking for a typical bridal look to my wedding and it is a hard sell to mom who is footing the bill. I want to keep things simple and elegant - not froo-froo. Wish me luck and have drinks at my door when I get home!

Try to discuss what you want with your mom first bc I learned from personal experience its easier when you have a general idea of what you want to florist to price out. Me and my sister have different views - the florist must have thought we were nuts.

I have been 'prepping' Mom for months as to what I wanted. Lets just say that when she did my sisters wedding, she (mom)made her cry at the florist. Mom wanted high, sister wanted low. I want trees. Yes, I said 'trees'. Here are a few of my centerpiece ideas.

I like the trees idea, I was considering it myself, until I thought it might take away from the murals in our room.

When in doubt with a friend or family member, always say these words....'Who is the one getting married here, you or me?' I find that usually shuts them up.
