Tired of people suspecting I'm PG - VENT

Is anyone else tired of people suspecting they are pregnant?

I was sick this week - a sore throat and some body aches. No big deal; we've all been there. However, since I got married, every little thing I say leads people to suspect I'm pregnant.

A few weeks ago I was craving Skittles - my colleagues thought I was pregnant. No, I just wanted stupid Skittles...

This week it was my sore throat -- A SORE THROAT!!! Maybe I need an anatomy lesson, but what does that have to do with pregnancy?! My mother said her friends were asking when they heard I was ill; just found out that my coworkers are taking bets. OMG!

I know people want good things for DH and I, but we're in no rush. I'm only 30 and we've been married 5 months. We want to just be married for a year or two. I can't think about pregnancy when I haven't even gotten my wedding video yet!!!! Geez!!!

i know how u feel. last month when i got my 'little friend' i was so sick, so i called in to work and told them i was nauseous and needed the day off. monday morning i come in and my bosses wife is like you're pregnanat right, i told my husband (my boss) that i thought you were. well i'm not!

It's especially annoying when you are trying without luck and people keep asking!!

I had chocolate milk and people were all 'Oooh, you must be pregnant'

Annoying!!

or when I make a comment on how cute someone else's kid is they think that means I want to be pregnant, not yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i hate this too! i get so defensive when people assume i'm ready to get pregnant and should be planning for it! if i say its years away they say, 'right' as if i'm lying and won't possibly be able to wait. i want to scream, I AM IN NO RUSH!

i was just saying to my friend that we NEVER get that question- and after hearing everyone vent about it, i start thinking... Why dont people ask US? Do they think we'd $uck at being parents?!

so i think it stinks either way

My cousin's wife who has had 8 KIDS said something to me at the reception. I've put up with her comments for years now so I said right back at her... 'Trust me J you're the last person I'll be taking any advice from never mind regarding children'

That SHUT HER UP!!

Little does everyone know how we've been trying with no luck... and I'm 35.

Ugh! Everytime I go home my mom shows me something in a catalogue that she's going to buy for when the grandkids visit

But then she says 'but not for 5 more years'

I keep getting mixed messages

I actually haven't heard the 'when are you having kids' thing too much yet... but we're only going to be 23 and 24 next month... so maybe they're waiting a year to start harrassing us

Neenie - I am sure you'd be a good mom! Maybe you just have friends and relatives who are more sensitive. I don't get it much either, but I think I give the impression that I don't want to hear it. I have also told people in the past that things I do are none of their business, so maybe they got the hint.

I get it ALL the time

For the first few months after the wedding everytime I saw my MIL or sister they would say ' Are you pregnant b/c you are glowing!!!' NO its called BEING HAPPY!!

My MIL asks DH like every other month if I am PG!!

And my mom keeps asking when we are having another one!!!

This drives me nuts! The woman at work ask me all the time, then they say 'are you sure'. YES I'M SURE DAMN IT!

I also get this. It was like the second we were married people thought we were trying. I havent been feeling good, just typical exhaustion etc and people always say ooh are your pregnant

I'm young (only 23 DH is 27) and I get it on the other end of the spectrum.... All of my girl friends feel the need to tell me 'You better not be thinking of getting pregnant anytime soon!', in a serious way not a kidding one. We're not but if we were I think thats a pretty rude thing to say without knowing what we were actually thinking

Every time I get an upset stomach.. someone asks...

HELLLLOOO I have IBS.. I have upset stomach's all the time. And I plan on waiting a long time to get PG.. I only have a one bedroom house for pete's sake.

Yep I get it all the time! Everyone at work points to someone else thats pregnant and says 'Youre next!' - Well they are just going to have to hold their breath cause it aint happening!!!!

Me too! The secretaries at my work are the worst. Last week I was eating a salad and one said, 'Ohhh are you being healthy for a little one!?' NOOOOOO for me!
