Very Bad Tree Service experience...UPDATE
I posted a few weeks ago about tree services - and we ended up going with someone who was recommended by a neighbor, who luckily also was the cheapest...Turned out when they were taking down our tree they put a huge hole in my neighbor's daughter's little tikes slide. The guy that was there even admitted to putting the hole in it, and told the neighbor he'd cut down her trees so he wouldn't have to notify his boss!!! We have called every day to the office, and they have yet to call us back - it is soooo frustrating!I am so sick of being nice about this, and asking - today I just demanded they at least have the courtesy to call me back so we know what to tell our neighbor, or their next phone call will be from News 12!
Sorry just needed to vent - is anything with owning a house easy!?
If you want the name of this tree service, please FM...
UPDATE: The owner finally showed up yesterday claiming that he had not heard anything about it until now (even though our neighbor and I have left messages on his cell phone everyday)...he did hand her a check for the replacement part and offered to grind a stump for her for free as compensation - apparently after my phone call about calling News 12, he realized not taking care of this would be 'bad for business'.

Re: Very Bad Tree Service experience
I'm so sorry.
Did they not take down the other trees yet as compensation to your neighbor? I would request to speak with the guys boss. Also, I find that writing a letter and faxing it works sometimes. We just had a very large tree removed and had a great experience!

Isn't it funny how things all-of-a-sudden become attended to when they realize that more people could find out about their mishap to a customer

It seems to have resolved nicely. Sometimes to have them grind the stump can be as expensive as taking the tree down.
