Which DIY Invite?? Poll

Okay I did both of these myself, and obviously one was a little more difficult than the other.

Bear in mind my theme is red, white and silver.

The first one was a DIY kit from Michaels. I did a test run on these and it does look professional, but almost plain to me.

The second one I did from supplies from AC Moore with some vellum, ribbon and cardstock. Would cost me a little more to do these and a little bit more handy work with the bows and such, but I feel it's a little more original. Plus the cardstock I chose is 2 sided (included a pic of the back which is cute!)

Which one looks better?? Please be honest!! Although I am not ashamed to admit I am proud of my little handiwork! TIA

ETA: I should probably note that I am far from being a traditionalist!!

the 1st one doesnt look like you did anything-- so I would go w/the 2nd one-- and red is your color-- looks great

I like #2 better, #1 is your typical invitation... (not that there is anything wrong with that considering i used it for my own e-party invites!

If the wedding is really formal- I would choose #1!! But they both came out great!!

I happened to use the 1st one as my e-party invites(DIY also)...I like them but yes, the 2nd one is very creative and very cute!

Depending on your color scheme either one will work just fine...you did a great job on both of them.

I agree that #1 is nice, but simple. I like #2 better...it looks good and obviously like more effort was put into it. Plus you really like it! Go with it!

i do not really like either one of them Sorry! But if I had to choose it would be the second one. Maybe if i was familiar with your color scheme I could visualize it better other than knowing it's just red, white and silver. Sorry I hope I didn't offend you.

Ok the best I can explain it is this...my dress is white and silver, the BM dresses are red. My flowers are red roses with red orchids. The BM flowers will be white and red roses. The CPs will be silver candelabras with alternating white and red roses. Don't know if that helps!!

I only started doing this because I have searched high and low for invitations that I like, and so far the ones that I like would cost over $800 for 100 invites!! I'm sorry, but to me that's insane!!

honestly they are both sooo different that you should choose which look you would rather go with.

but if i were picking one out for myself i would pick #2

I like them both, but #1 is traditional and #2 is original. Keep in mind the amount of work that comes with #2 though
