Is it a bad idea to...

put disposable digital cameras on the table, and let people take them house and just ask that they share the pics on shutterfly or a site like that? Is that being too optimistic that I'll ever see them again?

that is too optimistic, IMO. can you ask them to just take pics and leave them on the table the old fashioned way? that's what I'm doing.

I figured that! I guess I just thought it would save me time in the long run.

Also, am considering asking people to give us their e-mail addresses in the guest book too, so, at my leisure, I can e-mail them pics from the wedding.

we are giving our e-mail address in our programs--so that anyone who has digital photos or wants to e-mail us, can.
