Kleinfeld...Taking Pictures

I have an appointment tomorrow to go visit my dress...I'm not ordering it from Kleinfield b/c it's just too darn expensive, and having the dress replicated by a dress maker instead.

Do you think I'll be able to sneak in some pictures of myself in it?

I'll have my MOH with me, and I'll also have a digital and camera phone with me.

Christine, I did the exact same thing there when I went tovisit my Reemie....the trick is to ask your attendant AFTER you have the dress on if you can try it on WITH a veil. she will have to leave the room for it and voila, picture time.

to lessen the pressure (and maybe the suspicion) bring in AT LEAST one other dress and try it on, pretending to be torn between them and have to sleep on it.

We did this at a number of stores - see if someone has a camera phone just incase they don't give you a lot of time or space on your own to take pics!

My sister took a picture with her camera phone. It came out lousy.

It's pretty tough to get the picture taken. I had decided on my dress last fall, but I guess we didn't say 100% that we were buying it. The woman stepped in front of me when we were about to take the picture, then we told her we were getting it and took as many as we wanted.

I got my gown at Kleinfeld's and we weren't allowed to take pics until we decided to buy the gown there. Someone above suggested asking to see a veil...it won't work there b/c they have different people who sell the accessories, so your salesperson will likely still be in the room. Good luck!

actually, it DID work, and this is the pic I got...maybe not the BEST ever, but it served my purposes well

edited to say that you should ask to try a veil on with the dress, not just look at random veils. to get the full effect.

Can I just wear a regular bra??? I don't own a white 'corset' type of bra yet....will Kleinfeld give me one for the fitting?

yes, they will give you a bra. they carry a bunch of different sizes. :o)

Just confirmed my appoitnment (good thing b/c the moron wrote the wrong number down after I repeated it FOUR times when I booked the appointment) and found out that two of my friends that were at the Brooklyn location are now at the NYC locale and both working tomorrow!

I'm sure they'll let me sneak in a few pics!
