What's a nice restaurant in Nassau county for a birthday party?

I am thinking about throwing my DH a surprise B-day party this November. I'm thinking about having 30-40 people. Does anyone know a nice (but not too expensive

) restaurant with a private room?

tomatoes in RVC! that's where my shower was held. the food there is very good. my sis hosted my shower and said the prices were reasonable.

Davenport Press in Mineola. The upstairs room is perfect for a private party.

Davenport Press in Mineola. The upstairs room is perfect for a private party.

Just had my cousins shower there. It was great! We had the party in the downstairs room- had to guarantee 50.... the upstairs room is good as well...

LaParma in Oceanside is great- family style Italian

King Umbertos in Elmont- we have had so many parties there.

we are having my moms 60th at runyons in east meadow so far they have been great and the price is vety reasonable for what we are getting. i always enjoy the food there. we are having something much smaller then i planned originally so we went with a restaurant instead of a hall. we are expecting about 40 people

I dont know how expensive it is, but what about La Piazza in Merrick... I went to a shower there and the food was awesome and the room was really nice!!!

On the border of Nassau - I think just over in Queens is Nick and Maggies in New Hyde Park. It's really nice and the food is spectacular!
