Hair and makeup trials
How far in advance should I start booking hair and makeup trails? I'm getting married June 2007.

Re: Hair and makeup trials
Honestly, if you're going for the very popular vendors...try to get trials and book them ASAP before they do end up getting booked.Otherwise, most vendors will tell you that it's too soon. I'd do it at least at the 1 year mark.

Re: Hair and makeup trials
I agree one year mark. Just have an idea of who you want to contact. Some will hole the date for as little as $20 or at now charge until its closer to your date.

I definately wanted to book a trial with Jacqueline Nicole Cosmetics. When should I do that? I heard wonderful things about her!

I'd just contact her now, and ask her when she's starting to book for '07.

Re: Hair and makeup trials
Dumb question I have. Do you wash your hair before the trial at home or do you do it there??

All depends...most told me to have my hair clean, and fully dry...also to have it straight...
I'm sure it depends..

Re: Hair and makeup trials
I have always been told that when you have an updo done your hair should we washed and dried the night before...the little grease will make it stay much better (even though that sounds gross)--they put so much hairspray in it anyway nobody will ever know. Hair that is washed & dried the morning of is very soft and makes it harder to put curls in someone's hair especially if it is pin straight. Thats what my friends mom has always said and she is a hairdresser.

Re: Hair and makeup trials
I am getting married on April 15th and I am doing my hair trial this weekend
so I guess 8 months to 1 year in advance sounds good. Good luck with all the planning

She's doing my makeup trial next friday, I am so excited. For the price I'm paying I better look flawless (I'm sure she will do a great job)
I will post pics as soon as I get back from my e party next weekend.
