I'm freaking out !!!!

OK, so my engagement party is on Saturday. When I was up in NY last weekend, I brought my ering in to be made a 'bit' smaller. It was originally a size 9 and I told the jeweler to make it a size 8 3/4. Well I left the store and the ring seemed tight. By the end of the night I could barely get the ring off my finger. So when I got back to Charlotte, I brought it to another jeweler to be resized and when he sized the ring he saw that the first jeweler had sized it down to a 7 3/4

No wonder it didn't fit. Anyway, I told this new jeweler to make it an 8 1/2 and that I needed it by thursday because I am jumping on a plane tomorrow morning for NY. I just called the jeweler and no 1 picked up



I hope it's cause he's just not open yet. Could you imagine me going to my e party without my e ring

You will get it i am sure that its cause they werent open yet honey dont worry about it ....

Make sure that you have the setting checked because when you keep resizing a ring like that it can make it weak

I know, I did not want to have to keep resizing it but the original jeweler was half asleep I guess when he sized my ring

By the way, do you think the jeweler will get insulted if I ask to see the inscription on my diamond before I leave the store. I doubt he switched out my diamond but hey, you never know right?

I wouldnt worry about it if he was thats your ring better to be safe then sorry!

don't freak out - i am sure its just that they are not open yet.

but a little fyi - i had them put these little balls on the inside bottom of the ring (picture a ring guard on the inside permanantly attached) - because FH got my ring a size 7 1/2 and i am a 5 1/2 - so the jeweler brought it down to a 6 and then put the balls on so it would not move.

best part is that you do not see them!! no one knows they are there unless you take the ring off. and say my ring finger 'expands' (ie - i gain weight) the balls are removeable..
