Repost from LIF I need help with a Baby Sprinkle Please

Ok so a friend of mine is having her 2nd child (the 1st one is 2) anyway we (me & another friend) got rope into having her a SPRINKLE (2nd baby shower). Has anyone done this? Any suggestions on wording for the invites? We were thinking of doing a small couples dinner or drinks and apps.

Any help will be greatly appreicated.

My cousin's neighbors did a 'sprinkle' for her. But, they didn't invite ANY family members (this irked me because DH and I are the godparents for this child).

Anyway, they did it as a 'couples sprinkle' and they gave her a gift certificate to get professional photos and prints done for the baby. They also gave her lots of gifts.

A friend and I did this for another friendin May. My friend made up the invites and I don't remember exactly what they said but I remember it saying something like 'It's not a shower but a sprinkle to welcome their new little twinkle'.
