Brides doing their own place cards
What kind of paper are you using and where did you get it?
Because we're likely to have close to 400 people attend our wedding, I don't want to use the cards that the Crest Hollow gives u because then I have to have them hand written. I figured I would do them myself on the computer and that would save alot of time and hand cramping!
TIA!

Re: Brides doing their own place cards
Thanks ladies!
Another question: Did you have to cut them down to size afterwards?

Re: Brides doing their own place cards
I'm using ivory business cards that come 10 to a sheet and are already pre-perforated. They look really nice and saves you the trouble having to cut the cards down to size once they've been printed.

Re: Brides doing their own place cards
AC Moore and Michael's sells packs of 48 placecards in sheets that you can print up yourself using a nice font. they even give you a website to download the template for MS Word
the best part is, they only cost $4 for a pack!!!!!! (that's $4 for 48 placecards)

Yes, these are the ones I used as well (pic in review). They are by Gartner Studios and you could print using the templates on Uprint.com.

I used an ivory paper (with a linen look) which I got from Print Icon in NYC and cardstock..which you can get from Michael's. I did use a mini paper cutter which I got at Michael's. It has a ruler printed on it so it makes cutting everything easier - and uniform.

I think the odds are pretty good! I literally go in for one thing, and end up hours later with bags full!!!
There is no such thing as as a 'short trip to the paper store.'

Re: Brides doing their own place cards
Michaels and AC Moore sells packs of really cute placecards that are already cut to size, you just have to print on them.

That's what I'm trying to avoid.... my hall definately supplies them, but we're going to have close to 400 people attend the wedding, and I really don't want to write out all those place cards in addition to the fact, that I don't have the best handwriting!
