Need complimentary colors for 2 dresses

I'm looking for ideas for two non-white (in the red/pink/rust family maybe) dresses for two brides.

Early September wedding plus the venue has red draperies that we won't be able to change...

Our BMs will be in black....

Thanks for any thoughts/help and pictures!

Re: Need complimentary colors for 2 dresses

so, you want both dreses to be different & different colors, not differnt dress, same color, right?

How 'bridal ' do you want to go with the style?
SOem bridal gowns coemin colors now, but you can also look at more elabotae BM dreses.

Lazaro has some pretty fall colors that might work.

Re: Need complimentary colors for 2 dresses

How about this? Most of the BM dresses on bridesave come in over 50 colors, and come in very formal ones with trains to tea-length.

Re: Need complimentary colors for 2 dresses

I like the colors on this dress. I think two differnt dresses with each of these colors ( the bronze & teh rust) would look good together.

Re: Need complimentary colors for 2 dresses

This pic was from the Lazaro page. If we could get two dresses where the two colors were inverted (main color of one dress is the highlight of the other and vice versa).

Would that look odd?

I normally wouldn't pair a deep red and a plum together, but it looks good on that dress. Have to see in person I think.

My colors include wearing a deep eggplant (BM's) and holding deep red flowers. It's actually a beautiful combo - not often thought of!

Anyhwo, mccarm - love that dress and the color combo. Great Idea!

Re: Need complimentary colors for 2 dresses

I agree - definitely need to see in person...

Some friends had wore these two dresses (except the red on the orange matched perfectly the red one). I don't know that either of us could pull of orange, though!

Re: Need complimentary colors for 2 dresses

Good luck! I like the idea of having the colors inverted. There are alot of 2-tone BM dresses, that you could do that with.
