I am so excited, but getting so nervous.

I am just getting so nervous for the ceremony. The thing is, I have a lot of anxiety problems. I used to have panic disorder, but I pretty much have over come it after a lot of hard work. However, bad anxiety sometimes still remains, and I get very, very anxious when I have to do something that requires many, many people watching me. Before my college graduation, I was in a total panic, but once I took my anxiety medicine and got there, I was okay and had a wonderful time. I'm scared that I will be a total wreck up until the reception. I want to enjoy the hours leading up to my wedding, and focus on getting married, not on anxiety.

If you don't mind me asking how did you get over the panic disorder? I definitely know that I have a form of panic/anxiety. It started with feeling claustrophobic on public transporation, then sometimes it will hit when i'm out shopping in a store with a lot of people, or waiting in line....I don't know what will help me with this...therapy? reading self/help books?? I am in the same predicament as you with how I am going to feel with all those people staring at me. FM me if you can!

Oh, I completely hear you. It's one thing I'm worried about as well for the ceremony portion. I've read so many posts of brides saying that they were overwhelmed with anxiety the week before their wedding but felt completely calm and relaxed the morning of for some unknown reason. Can you talk to your doctor to see if s/he suggests anything you can do? What I plan on doing is setting aside some time to sit in my room, write in my journal with a Mimosa sitting next to me and get it all out.
