I'm finally going dress shopping
On Friday I'm going dress shopping!!! OMG Can't wait!! I have no clue what I want. Should I bring pics with me (even though I don't have any) I need some tips. Also which designers besides Eve of Milady have work on the bottom of the dress that actually goes to the very bottom?

Where are you going??
When I went to my first appt. I brought a magazine and flagged all of the dresses I liked. I really like the knot's most current magazine...it has pictures of dresses from almost every designer in alphabetical order.
They also suggest to bring a strapless bra and shoes, but most places provide them for you!

That's so exciting, have fun!!!!!! 
You don't need pics, just describe what you do and don't want to the sales associate and they'll pull out dresses for you to try on. You can eliminate some and narrow down your tastes until you get a better idea of what you're looking for!!

That is so exciting.. Congrats..
It is best to go with an open mind, you never know what you will wind up loving.. I got something totally different then what I wanted..
But I would check out some designer and write down some model numbers you like.. so the girl will know what kind of dress she should pull for you to try on!!

The first time I went I just wanted to narrow down the shape. So I tried on one of each shape (ballgown, a-line, mermaid, sheath etc).
I ended up liking mermaid the best.

Let me know how it goes.. I was speaking with my future mother in law last night on this and she gave me some names of places to go ( her daughter was married recently!) .
I don't know about you, but I look at those magazines and get overwhelmed.. I plan on going soon too and I guess I will just try on a couple different types and see what looks best... after that go to a couple stores, try that type on and then narrow it down from there...
