I need to tone and lose weight!!!!!
Hi, I am planning on taking my engagement pics in December. I would like to lose about 30 lbs. I went fromj like 114-146 in the past year. How do I do this? Does anyone know of any inexpensive gyms?

here is what I did/doabout 1200 to 1500 calories a day
yogurt for breakfast
100 calorie pack as a snack( have you seen them at the stores- they are good)
lean cusine for lunch
100 calorie pack of microwave popcorn- they sell it as snack packs- in the popcorn aisle
sensible dinner- 400 calories
ice pop or low fat icream for dessert
on the weekends- treat yourself- but don't go crazy- then when you go back to eating better on monday it has a positive affect on your metabloism
no soda- water or crystal light
now you also need to excerise
even if it;s just walking- something
5 or 6 days a week to start
4 to maintain
at least 45 miniutes of cardio- any kind
if you don't do any now- I would start by walking- if you go to the gym- walk on the trendmill - on a inline ( that is the KEY to reshaping hips and butt) walk at 4.0 pace- that about 15 minutes per mile
if you want add in weights- for your arms and chest- let me know if you are going to the gym- I can give you some moves- or buy a shape or self magazine- they have great at home tips and moves
please feel free to ask me questions
you have to think of it as a lifestyle change- not a diet-
I have kept the weight off since January- with out gaining any back- I am so much happier

My suggestion is the South Beach Diet. I lost about 35 pounds from May to august. And it is very easy to follow. They make a great little handbook that costs about $6 and sell it in targetAlso, I have an inexpensive gym but it is in Farmingdale... where are you looking?

I was 135/138- at 5'1
now I am about 118/120
I want to go down to 115
hopefully in the next month or so

how long that take you?? i watch what i eat but i guess i really should go to the gym.. but i am so bad on the weekends, with drinking and eating.. and then i drink a bottle a wine on week days,,, i am bad, with my fi

What type of dinner do you ususlly have? I work out after work and sometimes dont get home till 7:30 or sometime slater. I would hate to eat then and make my workout pointless.

I've been maintaining my weight by running 15 miles/week. However, I eat a lot. So I cut out the things I don't need like cheese and fried foods. Now I run 4 days a week and work my arms 3 days per week and I've already lost in this past week.All you need to do is think, do I need to eat that. And get moving girl. Do whatever you can to get that heart rate going and work all the muscles in your body.
