Food Network fans - Rachael Ray
With all the recent celebrity breakups, we thought that we needed a little good news to cheer us up. And, what could be more cheerful than the news that perpetually cheery Rachael Ray is getting married this month. Not just anywhere. No, no, no. She's getting married in an Italian castle, like a true princess.Ray is engaged to John Cusimano, a lawyer and member of the band The Cringe. 'You can come in bluejeans if you want,' Rachel told Newsweek recently. 'I'm going to wear a dress picked out in 28 minutes. It's Vera Wang, but it was the cheapest one in the store.' Awww, how cute!
And, want even more good news? Rachel just got her FOURTH Food Network show, Tasty Travels, a program for viewers who want to spend more than $40, sort of a companion show to her other show, $40 A Day.
Not enough good news for ya? Rachael has a new magazine, Every Day With Rachael Ray, launching this fall. And, she also has her 11th cookbook, 365: No Repeats, also coming this fall.
If that isn't enough to put a smile on your face, then pour a bottle of E.V.O.O. over your body and run around naked in the yard.

Some of her recipes are really great, but I have to be honest, it really bothers me that she's a terrible tipper. On $40 a day, she tips like 3%, it drives me crazy-she shouldn't be advocating that kind of behavior....

me either I always see her calculating tip as 15%. But since her meals are inexpensive the 15% seems low, like just $2 or $3, which I also think is too little.

I agree - She is a horrible tipper! FH likes to figure out what the REAL tip should be.

Re: Food Network fans - Rachael Ray
I love Rachel Ray.I also doubt she is really tipping that much, they are just trying to show you CAN do it for $40 a day.
I am sure those restaurants are getting much more than that plus the publicity they get from being on the show is priceless.

Re: Food Network fans - Rachael Ray
shoot...if I was eating out by myself, I'd only tip $2 tops too.... However, I would give more for extraordinary service.I had the worst waiter last fri...he was rude, never came to check on us, didnt tell us the specials....he was a real jerk!
Our group of 6 gave $15 b/c which was a shame cause if he just did his job and politely, we usually tip much much more
on a side note...RACHEL RAY ROCKS

I agree
I am sure that she just does that for the show, just like how she never eats anything that she spits out of her mouth and says how disgusting it is!!!!!

Re: Food Network fans - Rachael Ray
I do like Rachel Ray and I like her recipies, but sometimes she's just too darn cheery for me and I have to watch her with the captions on because she starts to grate on me. I thought I was the only person who felt this way until FH said to me, 'OMG, please turn the sound down- she freekin annoys the crap outa me!'BTW I like Bobby Flay too. My fi looks like him a little bit. I'm a sucker for redheads.
