E-ring/Wedding Band question for channel set bands

I have a gorgeous round stone with channel setting for my e-ring, and wanted to get an eternity channel set wedding band to match. When I put the two rings together it is way too much bling, and also too much METAL - the channel setting is THICK and I think overwhelms the diamonds. I don't wear my e-ring everyday - does anyone have same thougths about their wedding band that is channel set?

I had a very thin band made so that it doesn't overwhelm my hand. Both my E-ring and my wedding ring have channel settings. I can't really wear my wedding ring alone, because it looks weird since the shape fits into my e-ring.
