holiday inn riverhead

anyone know when the new holiday inn in riverhead will open? i know its owned by the same people that own the best western east end, but i was hoping their rates would be cheaper. thanks~lacey

Sorry to say, but rates are not cheaper.

I was quoted $169 for a Saturday night in June.

I just blocked rooms there. For Labor Day weekend 2006, I got 10 regular rooms for $189 per night and 10 suites for $209 per night. For every 15 rooms booked you get one 15 passenger van with one drop off and one pick up. If you need more shuttles you have to pay for it. Call the Best Western in Riverhead and ask for Tina, she's in charge of sales for the new hotel.

editing to say: This is the same rates I got at the Best Western East End and cheaper than the rate at the Hampton Inn in Holtsville. The only bonus to the Hampton Inn is that they will provide shuttles for up to 4 people per room, not just one 15 passenger van.
