you can make a rum punch and put plastic fingers and spiders in the punch so people will get them when they take cup fuls

my sister had punch but put dry ice in it for the effect it was pretty neat

IT's not particularly scary, but we had spiked cider at our Halloween party and it was a big hit.

I think I saw this in an issue of Martha Stewart. There is this black vodka, Blavod (although maybe you can just put food coloring in a cheap vodka?), that they layered with orange juice for a very cool looking Halloween-y screwdriver.

you could buy a whole bunch of really small plastic insects and then freeze them in ice trays so that you have scary ice cubes.
