Wedding Shower?

Does anyone know who is suppose to pay for the wedding shower? I've heard conflicting stories...

It used to be the bridal party or the maid of honor, but now I am not sure. My mother paid for mine.

I agre..used to be the brides mom or family but now a days it can be them or the BP. I paid for my sis n laws with help from the other girls in the BP.

My mom paid for mine as well. But Sweetd is right traditionally it was the bridal party.

Please...I am lucky that my bridal party even showed up at mine and that it wasn't too much of an inconvenience for them.

I think it used to be the Mother of the Bride. But I paid for my friend's shower when I was her MOH last year (her mom and 2 other BP members helped out - the rest of the BP was useless). I'm pretty sure my MOH is paying for mine.

My bridal party paid for mine. I think they had a little help from my mother as well.

Everyone does it different. I know for mine my mom will pay for it and hopefully Future MIL will help out and MOH. I know some people have the bridal party for it.
