Tuxes for out of town groomsmen

ALL THREE of our groomsmen are coming from out of town. San Fran, Portland, OR, and Philly! Besides Men's Wearhouse, is there any other places, maybe dept. stores, that will be able to help us out for tuxes? I have read the men's wearhouse isn't so great :( but thats who i thought of to use from the beginning. The guys probably aren't going to come into town until two days before the wedding, which is probably the bachelor party, then the next day will be the little rehearsal bbq. I don't want them to wait til they get here to get it. I need them to get it settled before they get here........
any words of wisdom my lovelies??? :)

We just orderd our tuxes tonight. You can go into any tux shop, pick what you want and they give you cards for out of town groomsmen. Mail the cards to the groomsmen and have them go to a local TUX shop to get measured. NOT A CLOTHING STORE. Then the groomsman mails the card back to the tux shop and they have it ready for pick up the day or two before the wedding. They do this professional courtesy. If a person walked into the tux shop that WE are using to get measured for a wedding in lets say, Texas, they help their 'peers' out so to speak by measuring them. it is done all the time. No worries. We have three out of town groomsmen and this is what we are doing.

Thanks! So they will measure them for free? I just hope there is nothing wrong w/the fit when they get here.

Yes. Like I said its a professional courtesy. Tux shops do it for each other. Like a favor. They will schedule you for a pick up date the day or two before. Have the guys try on the tuxes BEFORE they leave the shop early enough in the day so if there is a need for further alterations, they can be done. The tailor is there til 8pm on Friday where we went.

Well, my guys will probably be coming in on a thursday night or friday which will probably be his bachelor party (my wedding is sunday)...so i gotta find a place with a tailor on saturdays :)

Hi, we also have 3 oot groomsmen. we are getting our tuxes through After Hours (they have them all over the country). One of the guys lives in Florida and there is not one nearby his house so he is going to get measured in florida, call After Hours with his measurements and pick up the tux in NY. I hope this doesn't turn into a nightmare.
