Re: Gifts for parents
you can give them albums ....... or as least to your mom and his parents ..... and just give you farther something else like maybe they have really nice frame at things remembered that you put a pic in one side and the other side you can engrave something nice

Re: Gifts for parents
fh's sister got his mom an engraved Handkerchief...it was beautiful..one corner had the bride & grooms initials and i think the other corners had the parents and grandparents initials... for her father she got a silver engraved pic frame that was engraved with a quote from the song that they danced too, which she later filled with a pic of them dancing together at the wedding...i have to say both were tear jerkers..i am planning on getting my mom the Handkerchief for my wedding..it was really touching...and it represented family members who were no longer hear..
good luck!!!

Re: Gifts for parents
I'm making a plaque for my inlaws and my mom with this poem on it. (my parents are divorsed too and my dads a truck driver) I'm either going to wood burn it or embrode it.And a woman who held a babe against her bosom said, 'Speak to us of
Children.'
And he said:
Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you, yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts.
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit,
not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you
with His might that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as he loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that
is stable.
