Speaking of Registering... quick question
We have not registered yet... Do you think we should register before or after the holidays? If we register before, will half of the things we select be discontinued or still in stock? Please let me know your opinions!

Re: Speaking of Registering... quick question
I would wait until after the Holiday's. You're in May - and four/five months before is perfect timing.

Re: Speaking of Registering... quick question
I want to finish registering before the holidays, plus my bday is in December. I figure this way we'll get stuff we really want/need rather than stuff that people think is 'nice'.

Re: Speaking of Registering... quick question
I would register before. My wedding is not until next Sept. and we registered for a lot of things already. People wanted to buy us engagement gifts, and I know for the holidays, some people will want to buy from our registry. The stores I registered at said that only bedding and bath is seasonal. So I am holding off on that until right before my shower. But things like fine china, crystal, cookware, etc. are usually in permanent stock (if they are not, I know Fortunoff's for example will have a sticker saying 'not recommended for bridal registry).
Also, we found registering to be overwhelming, and we've made several trips to different stores and have slowly added on to our registries. So you may as well get started now, and you can add/change as you go!

Re: Speaking of Registering... quick question
You can register now for everything except towels and bedding - those are seasonal and change quite often. As for stemware, flatware, china, everyday dishes - those should be ok to register for now.

Re: Speaking of Registering... quick question
I registered for our dinnerware, flatware, stem and barware. I would wait until about 4 months before the wedding to do bedding and bath because it's seasonal.

Re: Speaking of Registering... quick question
I am doing it before. This way if someone wants to get you something off the registry for the holidays, they can do that. I think my FIL's are gonna get us the conforter set we registered for.
