My invites are in the mail/tip

I went to the post office early this morning

and since it was early and no one was there they started hand canceling right away!

I am so glad I didn't go at lunch like I planned

Hand canceling is using a hand held stamp rather than running the invite through a machine. The machine puts those black marks on the bottom of the envelope. Hand canceling results in a cleaner looking envelope.

it's when the PO hand-stamps them instead of them being processed through a machine and potentially getting scuffed up or worse.
