Re: NER-dog question

It varies, you can go to some shelters and get it for like $40-$50. At a good vet, it will probably be around $150-$200.

Re: NWR-dog question

if he is a puppy who still needs additional vaccinations it could even be a little more. Keep in mind, some of the shots you have to get yearly also. We just went to the vet for an anuual visit, it was about $160.

Re: NWR-dog question

Call the ASPCA. They can send you a check for a certain amt towards the neutering.

My dog cost a little over $200. It really depends on your vet.

That's about right. If the dog needs shots, you will have to pay for that, plus the vet visit plus any rabies shots and the neuter. I think $500 sounds about right.

Re: NWR-dog question

The following website mails out certificates for neutering at low cost. We used these for our little kitties, otherwise it would have cost us and arm and a leg to have both of them done.

Re: NWR-dog question

I think the est on here are pretty accurate but keep in mind that a dog is hard work and can get costly. They can be wonderful additions or pains in the you know where! I have 2 but what trouble! (I love them to bits tho-some ppl just don't realize the commitment and work!) Best wishes if you get one!

Re: NWR-dog question

Just be careful of the $$. We got my dog in March and in early September he started to have stomach problems. That has cost us about $600 in vet bills, plus we had to buy special food and medications. They still do not know exactly what is wrong and when he will be able to come off the medications.

It is still totally worth having a dog to me, even though I now have a little less to spend on the wedding!!!
