Resturant/Reception for 50 people

I am so glad to have found this site.
My fiance and I are in the preliminary stage of the wedding plans. We know that we want an event for 50 people. However, perphaps you all can make suggestions of really nice places for that amount of people that is affordable in the Queens or Manhattan area. We are flexible in terms of day (Fri-Sun) and set up (brunch, dinner, cocktails) and would like to get the most out of a tight budget. We haven't started going to places yet, and we really don't want to waste too much time since we would like to get married sometime between Feb-Mar 2006 (if its possible). Any suggestions you'd like to share of your own experiences would be great.

We are looking into the private room at Angelo & Maxie's Steakhouse in Manhattan (19th and Park Ave South) - they have an awesome private room in the back with it's own bar - I think it seats 50. You could probably get it for like $50/pp and they give you a lot of meal options.
