Did anyone not register for bath and bedroom items?

After serious thinking, I don't think I can register for bath items, like the accessories and towels because I really want to be able to match wherever we move into. In regards to bedroom items, it's the same thing, with expection of registering for the down comfoter. FI and I decided that getting a down comforter, and getting one or two duvets would be best for us, but again, I don't want to register for things that I not sure of and really want to wait on until we see where we move into.

Did anyone not register for these items? I still want to register for some luggage pieces, as well as little things like frames, etc. Do you thik this would be enough for people? I do have an extensive regsitery at BB&B because we need everything cooking thing known to man, and our Fortunoff regsitery is about three pages itself.

Thanks!

Re: Did anyone not register for bath and bedroom items?

We waited to register for towels until we moved in together about a month ago. We also waited to register for bedding until it was closer to the wedding as bedding patterns are often seasonal and get discontinued. You can wait with that stuff until it is closer to when you think you might have a shower. That is what the people at MACY's and Fortunoff told us.

Re: Did anyone not register for bath and bedroom items?

I am not registering for Bath items. We already have a house and we are actually in the processing of renovating one of the bathrooms. And it will be complete before my shower, so we are just going to buy the items ourselves. I just bought new bathroom items for the 2nd bath over the summer so I think it's a complete waste of money to ask for new gifts. There are other things I need/want. We are going to register for bedroom items though.

Re: Did anyone not register for bath and bedroom items?

I already have a bathroom set that I bought last year so I am not registering for another one unless I find something that I absolutely love...as far as a bedroom set I would like another one but again, I have to find something that I love.

Don't feel obligated to register for anything....I'm sure you'll get plenty of gift cards that you can save and used towards that stuff once you know what your colors will be.

Re: Did anyone not register for bath and bedroom items?

I registered for a few towels b/c everyone was telling me that I NEED TO - but I will probably take them off b/c I just don't need them and they seem like a wasted gift. And I refused to register for bedding. We have 2 dogs and probably replace our sheets every month or every other month b/c when we play w/ them they may jump on the bed and rip the sheet. There's no way I'm going to get bedding for hundreds of dollars that I know will get ruined.

Re: Did anyone not register for bath and bedroom items?

I definitely want to register for bedding, I do have one set that I actually like right now that I put down for, but if it happens to get discontinued, I'll run to the store to get it myself!

I'll see if there is any bath accessories I like in a few months, but right now, there's nothing that I love enough to put down for.

Re: Did anyone not register for bath and bedroom items?

I am not going to register for bed and bath items until we see what our apartment is going to look like. I agree with you that I want to try to match everything. We want to get a king sized bed but who knows if our apartment will accommodate one or not? So I wouldn't even know what size to get much less the color.

Re: Did anyone not register for bath and bedroom items?

Bedding and bath is the last to go on my registry. Definately need some time to think about it.
