DIY photo album?

DIY photo album?

Is anyone planning to do this, or have you done it? If so, do you recommend an online vendor of leather albums, or just very pretty and elegant albums? The thought of spending $900 for an album through a photographer with 24 pictures in it makes me cringe when I'mgoing to get a CD with images and can get 8x10s printed at shutterfly for $2 each and assemble it on my own. I know it's our wedding and we should have a very nice momento, but our budget is rapidly depleting and I think I could do a good job if I knew of a good source for an album... thoughts? thanks ladies :)

Lots of people are opting not to get the expensive albums.

So far, my mom just wants one from online.

i have a bunch of links at home for where you can purchase albums but...

...i just had a look at that mypublisher.com site and it looks awesome!! that might be the best bet.

I'm planning on doing this, because I haven't been able to find anything that I like from a photographer that isn't crazy expensive.

if you want to make a traditional matted album...try this website: www.albumhouse.com. you could probably make an album w/80 pics for about 500 bucks.

there are other such as www.albumart.com, but i found albumhouse.com to be the cheapest.

a few friends of mine have done it and they came iut great. Besides Shutterfly you can also try Winkflash

I saw nice albums in a carlson crafts catalog, Some were the exact ones that my photographer is using and they are really great prices
