Other options for a wedding guest book

I don't want to do the traditional wedding guest book where guests sign there name. I want to do something different - maybe the photo frame or a platter/dish that people sign. Any other ideas? Also, if you have recommendations for web sites that sell these items at a reasonable price, I'd appreciate it. Thanks girls

Re: Other options for a wedding guest book

I am making a photo album in shutterfly of pictures of us and having guest sign around it. This way if no one signs it, we still have a photo album.

In this months Modern Bride, I saw a Mail box with postcards and the guests write on the postcards.. It was adorable.

Re: Other options for a wedding guest book

My SIL made a guest book that was really a photo album. On the left side there were pics of her and my brother, and on the right side there were little envelopes. The guests wrote a message on little square cards and then put them in the envelope when done. It came out really nice, and they put a big bowl of M&M's near the guest book so people would go over to where it was.

Re: Other options for a wedding guest book

I was at a wedding in Denmark where the guests all got a piece of paper and wrote down a little greeting or good advice for the newlyweds. When they were finished, they put them in a beautifully decorated box and at the end of the night, they maid of honor sealed the box, put in a bottle of champagne, and told them to first open it and enjoy the champagne while reading the greetings on their one year anniversary. I thought that was really nice...
