repost from 06 boards postponing questions

So heres the situation, FH and I might have to postpone the wedding a few months, and doing that would bring us into the cold months which neither of us wants so it might have to be pushed until april or may 2007.

I'm sad, but I know if it has to be done it has to be done. Basically he is going to need that oral surgery done asap along with a couple of procedures prior to it which will be setting him back a couple thousand dollars even with some help from his parents. This puts a strain on our savings and since we still will need a place to live and furniture and stuff its going to affect our savings too much to leave it as our current date as of right now.

A lot can happen in the next few months, (new jobs, etc. and it can work out where postponing might not even to happen, but we can't wait another 6months to change a date because we don't want problems at the hall.

However I started thinking what if we do postpone now(next payment is due Nov. 1st so we need to decide in next 2 weeks) and then we hold it until may 07, but then decide we're fine and try to make it earlier. would a hall allow more than one changing the date? Anyone ever change their date? how did it affect your payment schedule? Anyone change their date more than once?
