Need Advice on DJ and photographer!

I'm getting married in July of 07 at Jericho Terrace. I want to start to get ideas for DJ's and photographers. Does anyone have any suggestions? What about prices? I'm new to this so I hsve no idea about pricing.

I hear that Duet and 12th Night are really good and I will be startign with them.

I could be wrong but I think Duet is the top photographer that everybody is raving about on here.

Do a search and you will see the differernt comments.

For Dj's Iam using DJ Rus.

Re: Need Advice on DJ and photographer!

Hi... I've rec'd photo/video packages ranging from $4700 to over $8k so you definitley have to shop around. See what the quality is for the money and see what all the packages include. We've been to 5 places so far and have 2 more appts this week and we still may shop more.. and we did go to Duet.. and so far they gave us the best package for the money...so unless we can find something we LOVE better that isn't too much more, then we'll probably be going with them. We've gone to, JoVon (really nice but expensive), Creative Composition...(nice but WAY too expensive), Queens Bridal Center (didn't like the work or the woman who helped us), Duet (liked a lot and priced was great), Artisan (liked the photographer and had really great work, reasonable price) We're going to Timeless Impressions and Imagine this week. As far as Dj's, we haven't started yet... but i think the prices seem to be in the $1500- $2k range.. i think some are even cheaper too. Have fun in your search!

Re: Need Advice on DJ and photographer!

I cant talk enough about 12th night!! They are AMAZING! They dont have a set 'package'- everything is like a la carte style BUT they do hold the 2005 prices for you IF you decide you do want a album. Included is 3 dvds with your PICTURES on them- 1 CD and a e-shoot (if you schedule 2 photographers).

As far as videographers I booked with Timeless Treasures on the spot- Timeless treasures has all the packages on their web site-check them out :D

FM me if you need any more info on either or.

As far as DJ's (which is our next vendor to book) we are considering tommy tunes and high voltage- they seem to be the popular ones among this site

Good luck planning! We are all here if you have any questions!

Re: Need Advice on DJ and photographer!

I have not started to look for photographers yet.. that's my next item. As far as DJs, we will be booking High Voltage for our wedding. We just used them this weekend and they were excellent... I have heard nothing but positive feedback for them on this site. FM if you want more info.

Re: Need Advice on DJ and photographer!

I haven't booked a photographer yet but the ones I've seen have started at around $4,000.

We just booked Chris from Long Island Sound for our DJ. He came highly recommended by a good friend of mine. I think he's a vendor here, if you want more details let me know. He has a lot of different options to chose from.
