Hi Girls,

OK, I really really need your help. I am in desperate need of a chuppah. My florist does not do them because it is only her and her daughter and it is too much for them. My hall doesnt provide one either and they wont set-up the ones that you can rent and then put together. So far I have found a place that has the hand-held one, but it is kind of ugly and logistically I cant think of how it would work (and who would be holding it). Can you either post or FM me your florist name and about how much you paid? I want something extremely simple and understated. With 20 days to go, I could really use your help.

Well, I used a hand held one that I decided to use fairly last minute. I rented it from Yussel's for $120 or so. Both MrsWask and I used it and it's really gorgeous. As for who held it, DH and I simply chose four additional people who meant a lot to us who we wanted to honor and they held the Chuppah for us. It worked out really well.

(I know you said you weren't interested in a hand held one, but I figure if worse comes to worse here's an option and a story behind it to calm any nerves)

I think Zion Lion in New Hyde Park rents them. Id call other florists to see if they rent them also.
