bridesmaids dress emergency!

Hello! Everyone here was so helpful when I was planning my own wedding and now I'm helping my brother plan his November wedding. (LIweddings seems to have shut down my old account maybe due to inactivity?)

The problem is that we only have a month to find bridesmaids dresses so I need to find a seamstress who can rush custom make them or a store that carries sizes in stock. We had 2 months to plan the whole thing.

Also I'm looking for dresses in orange, so it's been kinda hard. I've hit a couple of department stores and David's Bridal but couldn't find the perfect shade - they were either too peachy or too burnt orange/rusty.

Any suggestions? Your help is greatly greatly appreciated!!!

Someone at work had a mess up with their BM dresses and they went to Saks and found the exact dress she originally picked. THey had lots of sizes and was able to put it all together in about 2 weeks! So, that is definately an option. Or, how about simple JCrew dresses or something?

Why don't you tell them to look in a dept store like Macy's or Bloomies or even try looking in BCBG?

Not sure where you're from but you can buy off the rack from Estelle's Dressy Dresses in Farmingdale. But I don't think they do alterations.

Macy's, Sears, JCPenney, Lord and Taylor...They all have a large selection.

Go to Jessica McClintock. They have great fall colors and can get you the dresses ASAP. Also try Lord & TAylor & Bloomingdales

You might be able to get them that quickly at Davids Bridal.

My MOH ordered her dress from them, was told it would take 6 weeks, but the dress came in 2 weeks after it was ordered.

Macy's has been great to me and my BP- maybe ask how much it is to rush an order from them? I don't know if 2 months would be enough time tho! JCrew is a good option as another poster suggested! Good luck!
