DIY CD Favors - Show Pics!

I'm thinking that this will be our 'favor' - was looking for some inspiration.

Here is what I have thus far:

The paperboard CD holders


Attach a label to the front, with a ribbon in my colors



Update: I am almost done with all of my CD favors. As promised here is a picture of what they will look like! They match the rest of my 'paper products'!

We used these covers but made the fronts on our own. We used them as favors and placecards. Here is the picture.

Those are very pretty and similar to what I'd like to do.

I am having my placecards made, but otherwise, I'd steal your idea.

But the look is exactly what I am looking for!

Thank you so much. We got paper from Michaels and printed a poem on the top and then the date of the wedding on the bottom. Here is the poem:

His hello was the end of her endings
Her laugh was their first step down the aisle
His hand would be hers to hold forever
His forever was as simple as her smile
He said she was what was missing
She said instantly she knew
She was a question to be answered
And his answer was 'I do'

Then Gary cut them in squares and pasted them onto the CD. Inside is the same paper with the names of the songs and a thank you note. When we got our seating arrangements we used velum paper from Michaels and printed the names and table numbers out and cut them in strips. We then wrapped them around the cd and closed them with love stickers. Then we wrapped a pink ribbon around and tied it in the back..it was so nice..Hard work but well worth it.

I found someone on EBAY who prints the cover of a CD for you, so you don't have to put labels on.

Then just burn, assemble and (hopefully!) VIOLA!

We purchased the Epson printer 99.00 to print our CDs no labels. It prints directly on to the CD for you. You need to use special CD's but we figured might as well do it ourselves and then have a really cool printer also. I got it at Best Buy.

Good Luck I will have pictures next month when we finally make the CD's

I made these for my friends wedding a few years ago.

we used the Bliss white paperboard holders and the myownlables.com labels.

We printed the track listing on vellum and had a picture of a calla lilly left adjusted on the page. That went in the insert side of the cd pocket. We used clear labels with the guests names and table numbers and those served as placecards and favors.

oh and I bought ribbon in bulk from a floral co and hot glue them to either side. We tied them all up like 2 nights before.

I just ordered mine today.

I looked high and low, but they were the only place I could find them.

I'm so excited to do this myself - a great DIY project, doesn't seem toooo hard, and I can get it exactly how I want, with the exact COLORS I want!

Now, I have no idea what songs we will put on there!

Do you have iTunes? Try doing searches for playlists by era, type etc. That might be a good starting point.

We included our wedding song, our cake cutting song, our parents wedding songs, etc. Then just a great mix of different songs. There really is EVERYTHING on there.

I've started the assembly of my DIY CD Favors. I'll take some pics this week and upload cause they are coming out super cute!

I haven't burned the CD's yet.
